Thanks so much for all the feedback on last night's post. It's great to know we're not alone!
Today I finally, finally, finally felt good enough for a short workout. I completed two rounds of Courtney's Timed Stability Ball Workout this afternoon, and then Terry and I took a 25-minute walk to get frozen yogurt this evening. And I felt alright! (Not quite ready for boot camp again yet, but hopefully this weekend!) So tomorrow I'll do a similarly brief and low-intensity workout to continue getting back into the swing of things. I am thrilled that I got some sort of exercise in today, though; I haven't been sleeping well lately and I can only assume it's because I'm not working out.
And, in case you were in need of something cheerful and Christmas-themed today, here's a fun little holiday survey from Courtney's blog, similar to last year's.
1. Favorite Christmas Album/CD/Song?
My favorite songs are "O Holy Night," "Carol of the Bells," and "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas," though I feel like this list could go on forever.
2. Run on Christmas morning or take the day off?
I imagine there will be a walk or a hike or a short jog sometime during the day, but after presents and breakfast!
3. What do you usually eat on Christmas morning?
All through my childhood Christmas breakfast was always Mom's egg casserole and cinnamon rolls. But hey, last year we ate crepes, so things change!
4. Favorite Christmas tradition?
It's so hard to pick one, but I love checking out Christmas lights and having a tree.
5. Real tree, fake tree or no tree?
Real! The smell of pine still makes me all tingly when I get home.
6. Christmas pajamas… yay or nay?
Sure! I have some pretty cute penguin pjs that I love around this time of year.
7. Where do you spend the holidays?
We've spent one Christmas with my family, one with Terry's, and one in Paris. This year will be with my family again.
8. Food that you always have during the holiday season? Favorite Christmas food/treat?
Christmas is for hot cocoa, cinnamon rolls, and See's Candies.
9. Open presents all at once or take turns?
Take turns! I love watching people open their gifts as much as I enjoy seeing what I got.
10. Favorite Christmas(ish) movie?
Can I name three? Love Actually, The Holiday, and, at least this year, The Santa Clause. Of course, who can turn down any Christmas movie? Should I be embarrassed to admit that I even like those silly made-for-TV movies on the Hallmark channel?
What about you? Favorite holiday movie? What do you usually eat on Christmas Day?
Ah, I love all of these Christmas surveys floating around the blogging world. How cool that you two spent a Christmas in Paris. I can only imagine it was absolutely beautiful!!
ReplyDeletechristmas in paris? swoooon. that sounds amazing, i am super jealous! glad you're feeling better!
ReplyDeleteOh, I totally watch those Hallmark movies. :) My favorite Christmas movie is "Miracle on 34th Street." It gets me everytime, and for breakfast on Christmas morning, we always have pigs in a blanket, or as my grandfather calls them, "piggies in a poke."
ReplyDeleteso awesome! i usually run the morning of christmas as well, i love the time to myself before everyone wakes up
ReplyDeleteI'm totally loving the Christmas surveys. I'm working on my own right about now. ;) But every Christmas morning we have a brunch with our family with some of our favorites!
