2011: A Remarkable Year

I'm so excited to post about the best year of my life. I hope that each year will continue to get better, but this one might be tough to beat.

Best day of the year (and of my life so far): Marrying my best friend and favorite person on July 9.

Other highlights:
March: The whole family celebrated my brother's engagement!

April: We moved to a new apartment in West LA and really love the location and updated renovations.

April: I visited Catalina Island for the first time.

April: For Terry's birthday, I got us both scuba diving certification lessons. It didn't go so well for me, but he fell in love with a new hobby and is becoming a Master Diver!

May: Terry and I bought our first car, and I had to say goodbye to my first car.

June: Terry graduated from his Master's in Engineering Program at UCLA!

 July: Our honeymoon:
London's Waterloo Bridge

In front of Parliament and Big Ben in London

Rome

Amalfi Coast, Italy

Pizza in Italy

August: Began my third year teaching high school English Language Development and coaching cheer.

September: Terry and I went to our first Giants-Dodgers game at AT&T Park in San Francisco.

October: Terry and I enjoyed a wonderful weekend at Terranea Resort in Palos Verdes with my parents for their 33rd wedding anniversary.
October: Day o' fun with friends

November: Celebrated our 30-Day Let's Eat In Challenge with a very fancy dinner at home.

December: Christmas in Paris and New Year's in London

Throughout the year:

I got in the best shape of my life.

We cooked at least one new meal every week, including our new favorite burgers.

I supported Terry in two Ragnar Relay races with his coworkers and became a runner myself, completing an unofficial 10K on Thanksgiving!

And of course, in October, I started my blog! This bad boy is quickly becoming much more than a hobby and evolving into a passion. I can't wait to see how A Better Life with Burgers continues to grow and change, and I am so thankful to have some readers out there. You keep me motivated and make working out and eating healthy all the more fun! Thanks for a great few months; I look forward to my first full year as a healthy living blogger!
